Was 64 for me. But had the advantage of the fact that the property i was ferreting was a 250 acre estate belonging to the Arabs ....and i happenned to be the estate manager. That was when i first started ferreting with a local guy that used to ferret the land and it was him that got me into it. Very knowledgable fellow and loved sharing his info.
I used to use an air rifle before i met him and this will give you an idea of the rabbit problem on the land ....i could shoot 40-50 rabbits a dy and you wouldnt even notice any missing lol.

hi fred, yes i use nets aswell but never sell any rabbits we catch, we keep all the rabbits for ourselves, there is 5 of us hunt together and we split the rabbits between us for eating and feeding birds and ferrets,

how many is too many? ?? what do u do with all your rabbits that u take? some of rabbits that i catch goes in the oven the rest live to run for another day, the ones we kill goes to the ferrets and dogs. i wouldn't worry too much about the green party they are has beens in the republic of Ireland and no longer a political party with any clout
